Please give simple or brief expainlation on Symantec backup exec 2014 and Arcserve application. And also advantages and disadvantages of these products.

They are both backup and recovery software products that were in common use dating back to at least the 1990s. They are aimed primarily at the SMB market. You rarely see Arcserve anymore, and Symantec Back Exec lost massive market share over the last few years because of so many problems with all versions of Backup Exec 2012. Many people have moved on to image based and virtualization only solutions.
