DNN Authentication through iframe - issue with IE

Hi Experts,

I have a DNN 7 (07.03.03) website setup. I created a WebAPI that can receive a post with user information from another website. I take the parameters posted to the WebAPI and generate a token that can be used for login. Basically, the WebAPI generates a token, that is then added as a URL parameter that is then used to authenticate the user.

We are bringing this into the iframe of another website. When tested in Chrome, and Firefox it works for everyone. When tested in IE, it works on some computers, but not others. On the computers that it does not work in IE, I can actually take the URL with the token, and it will properly log me in if I copy and paste it directly in the address bar of the browser. If I put the same exact url in the iframe, it just shows the login page. The weird part is that when I check the DNN event viewer log, it actually shows a successful login.

I have a test site set up at http://test.nursecompetency.net. When you get to the page, click on the Button. It should log you in and show a data grid. If you try it in Chrome or FF, it will work. If you try it in IE, it will just take you to a login page, even though it will show a successful login in the event viewer. For some, it will work in IE, and others it won't.

Tested it in IE 9,10,11 (IE 11 it works for me, but not another user also with IE11)

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
Joe

It turns out that it is IE privacy settings that are blocking 3rd party cookies. Does anyone have an easy to implement ASP.NET solution around this?
