The latest iTunes update failed to install on my W7 64bit Lenovo X1. I then uninstalled iTunes, downloaded the latest version from the Apple website (itunes6464setup.exe) and received a message stating that &quot;An error ocurrred druing the installation of assemby Microsoft.VC80.CRT.type=&quot;w<wbr />in.32, version=8.0.50727.6195&quot; Please see attached screenshot.<br />

iTunes will not install

Programs written for the Apple operating systems are distinguished from software created for other operating systems in that it must be approved by Apple for use on its devices, whether it is from Apple (Final Cut, iWork, Keynote, Logic Pro and GarageBand are popular titles), or is a third party application from Parallels, Nuance, Microsoft and Amazon, among many others.
