SQL 2005 SP4 Error

Dear EE,

I am trying to install SP4 on SQL 2005 in production and it gives me following error.

Please see attached file for error.

I will be grateful to you if you please help me in this regard.

Check the installation logs and in the event logs for any error during the process.

Sorry, I can't go on meetings now.
Anyway you should post here so if someone in the future has the same issue he or she can find the solution here.
Just post the installation log and event log.

Shows that you are having permission issues. Are you running the hotfix as an Administrator?
Also check in the EventViewer for errors happened around that time [16:36].

I am running all the things with ADMINISTRATOR.

THERE IS NO ERROR UNDER SYSTEM ON THAT TIME.

Try to right-click of the hotfix file and select the option Run as Administrator.
Also turn off temporary any antivirus product that it's installed in the machine. Do not forget to turn it on immediately after the hotfix finish.

i am already login with adminsitrator.

Let me uninstall the Antivirus.

You shouldn't uninstall the AV. Stopping the service would be enough. Hope that you installed back.
Anyway I was making some investigation in this error and found that can be an issue performed by a Windows hotfix. The related hotfix is MS14-049. If you have this hotfix installed you need to uninstall it before installing the SP4.

Its little bit amazing that when i install SQL 2005 on machine which was not on DOMAIN the SP 4 successfully installed on that machine.

Thanks. You should reinstall that hotfix since is a security patch. Only problem is that you need to uninstall it every time you need to install an hotfix.
