How to set up 2 new servers with 2012r2 Essentials

We are a small business with less than 20 users and looking to set up a new domain using 2012r2 Essentials with print roles, file sharing, and DC/AD. We also use Shelby Systems V.5 and financials which will require SQL 2014.  It isn't recommended to have SQL 2014 on a DC so any advice how to set this up on another server or on 2012r2 essentials?  

Can I have two servers with 2012r2 Essentials on one domain?
What would be the best way to set this up for our environment?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'd recommend buying standard and then running two VMs. One VM running essentials and a second VM  with standard for SQL. You cannot have two essentials on the same domain.
