If I have a file in a Document Library on a SharePoint 2010 page, with versioning turned on, and the file has multiple versions, lets say 3, does the crawl index all 3 versions or just the most current?

For Example, the first version of the document has the following text:

Hello

The 2nd Version has the text:

Hello there Steve

The 3rd version has the text:

Hello there Frank

If I do a search for the word "Hello", do I get 3 results or 1?  If I do a search for "Steve", do I get any results at all?  Hopefully you understand my question, if not I can try to clarify more.

Search actually crawls all versions during incremental crawl but it doesn't appear in the search results as it displays only the recent published version. To see the draft version, you should have permission to see unapproved content and need to be in the Approvers group.

So regardless of permissions, search results will only ever display the most recent version of the document, correct?
