Problem with changing Internet Explorer homepage via GPO on Server 2008r2

Hello all,

I am having a problem with changing Internet Explorer homepage.
I have been following this article:
http://serverfault.com/questions/588031/how-to-set-the-internet-explorer-home-page-via-gpo
In short I have created a GPO and linked it to the appropriate OU however it doesn't seem to change the homepage URL

Reg key deployed via GPO:
In the Group Policy Management Editor, go to User Configuration -> Preferences -> Windows Settings -> Registry.
Right click -> New -> Registry Item
Action = Update
Hive = HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Key Path = Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main
Value Name = Start Page
Value Type = REG_SZ
Value Data = your Home Page URL

Deploying this reg key via GPO doesn't seem to change the homepage...
Any ideas? perhaps there is a better method since MS removed Internet Explorer Maintenance snap-ins from group policy?

Thanks!
