right amount of bandwidth

I want to find out how to calculate if you have for E.G 150 user that are using the internet what is the right amount of bandwidth for a good connection

It depends on what they are doing.  If it was just basic email, you could almost get by on dial-up.  If they are all watching videos, then you need as much as you can afford.

We are accessing our intranet, internet and telephone system the intranet, we have an in house mailing system and application and the internet access is open meaning you can go on any site download and upload the amount of people accessing is 150

This page from Netflix shows their recommendations for video bandwidth for a single user: https://help.netflix.com/en/node/306   If half of your users (75) are downloading / viewing a medium resolution movie your bandwidth requirement would be 225 Mbps plus overhead so maybe 250 Mbps to 300 Mbps.

Your intranet speed should be 1GBps to minimize it's effect on the internet speed.
