Replace an user's access with other user in Sharepoint 2007

We have different level of permissions in our sharepoint farm depending on department ,folder file etc.
How can i replace or mimic one users permissions to other users permissions in sharepoint farm.
For Example user A has different levels of permissions in our sharepoint site and user A left the company, now user B takes position of user A and he needs same kind of access in different areas, So is there a easy way to replace all the rights of old user with new user or give same rights of User A to user B?

Hi,
you should use the built-in command from STSADM:
migrateuser

Open a CMD on one of your SharePoint servers and run
stsadm -o migrateuser -oldlogin DOMAIN\Olduser -newlogin DOMAIN\NewUser -Ignoresidhistory

Thanks this worked but it replaced old user account and replaced  new account, However the name associated to account still shows old name :-(

How change name and account both?

Hi,
please no panic. This is due to both the user profile store as well as a hidden user info list in the site collection(s) which are now kind of outta sync.

There should be two timer jobs to synchronize these information - please review the following possibilities to manually force the sync:
