I want to change my external facing "Internet" AAM information. Please tell me how and and what will it affect. The set up is below and I don't need to change the Default zone as it does not display the domain.com name in the URL. Our company name is changing and they don't want to see the old.
Currently this is the set up:
Internal URL                             Zone                                      Public URL for Zone

http://site4                                    Default                                       http://site4
https://1site.name.com              Internet                                      https://1site.newname.com

Sorry I made a mistake in the set up. Here is the correct set up currently:

Internal URL                             Zone                                      Public URL for Zone

http://site4                                    Default                                       http://site4
https://1site.name.com              Internet                                      https://1site.name.com

We need the https site to read - https://1site.newname.com

thanks
Melody

where is your Default zone? on internal LAN? or in DMZ?

where is DNS server located? in which zone?

will your DNS server be kept at the same place after making the changes?
