HP office jet pro 8600 printing larger font size than (web) document

HP office jet pro 8600 printing larger font size than (html  - web) document.
Tried all combo of browser, font, page settings and layout, but no resolution.

The pages print correctly on a HP Office jet 8200

This is on a XP sp3 pc.  The printer driver is new just reinstalled.

Any clues?  Thank you

I would make sure you have installed the latest firmware for the printer.

Here's the link for the latest firmware for the OfficeJet Pro 8600 N911a:

All web browsers scale (resize) the image on the screen when printing.  There is no direct correlation between size on the screen and size on the paper.  The two most common problems appear to be the zoom setting in the browser for the screen and the scaling setting in the print dialog.  It's nice that it prints as you want on one printer but the settings may get reset or changed when you select a different printer.  If you had a third printer, you would likely see something slightly different again.
if you want the same print - i often copy the content to a Word document, and adjust the font to what i need
