Hi,

We purchased a low-end ASUS Windows 8, later upgraded to 8.1, two years ago.  Recently, the hdd failed, my boss wants me to fix it up and  use it as a public computer.  My question is that, there is no recover cd came with the box.

When/how can I get Windows 8/8.1? it does not even have license key under the laptop.

thx

You need to get Recovery DVD's from ASUS support, or else you need to get a Windows 8.1 license and DVD.
