We have a Dell XPS L502X laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium.  Youtube, Spotify and other streaming multimedia segments are frequently interrupted by loud buzzing during which any accompanying video freezes.  We have removed non-malware PUP infections, installed all Windows updates, and updated the video driver and the BIOS but the problem remains.  We'd sure like to fix this...

Hi lgottlieb45,

Your problems could be anywhere.. But here'sa couple of things to try
- Use a differen HDMI cable
- If you are streaming from network then try streaming locally to remove network throughput as a factor (it may have to buffer over the network..
make sure you have no radio transmitting devices near your cable (phones etc)

This should help you identify a possible cause. Also make sure the other HDMI cable you test with is of good quality.

Thanks, Scott.  There's no HDMI cable involved.  We're talking about Youtube and Spotify direct to the laptop via a good quality cable ISP.  It's a mystery...

I think the mystery has been resolved.  The culprit seems to be Dell Support Center and/or Dell Support Center Agent.  I removed those per some information I found on en.community.dell.com, and the problem seems to have gone away.

I found information on a Dell forum that solved the problem.
