SQL Server cannot drop user, Incorrect syntax

I trying to remove a user from a database (SQL Server 2005):

drop user hprs\doris
Msg 102, Level 15, State 1, Line 1
Incorrect syntax near '\'.

How can I drop this user?

Try:

drop user [hprs\doris]
