Need to 301 redirect a custom post type archive to a page on another site.

I've remodeled a festival website and this year we've decided to place it in a subdomain 2015.lucidityfestival.com.
We are redirecting the pages from the root domain (lucidityfestival.com) to the new site. This is easily done with the Yoast plugin when it comes to pages and posts, but I've got custom post type archives on the old site that need to be redirected and I can't find any place in the Yoast plugin to do so.

Is this something I need to do in the .htaccess file?

You could redirect based on the archive slug or install the Redirection plugin and handle it via that.  The former would be best done in .htaccess, the latter is done via the plugin configuration.

Wow! That plugin is the BOMB!
