Hi,

can anybody tell me where (and how) I can change the management VLan on a HP 5406zl
I now have to connect on one specific port on the switch to manage it and it would easier if I can do it from more places...

We have 2 HP 5406zl switches one it setup as router and the second one is connected via an SFP+ module.
all vlans exist on both routing between vlans works fine... the 1 switch still has one port in the default_vlan but I don't need the default_vlan on the second swich...

The idea behind the management VLAN is to isolate the management function to only ports that are members of the management VLAN.  If you don't want to have that limitation, you'll have to disable the management VLAN function.

Yep found it myself also.
Had to go via the webGui to enable the Management VLan
but once I gave "our default vlan we created" an ip address I could access it.
That wasn't working Saturday, but now it works fine... probably some tagging that was wrong ;-) Anyway you gave a correct answer, So I'll reward it to you ;-)
