is there a free software that does like a repository or something so you can code and if you mess up go back to working code?

also is there a way in visual studio express to publish the code on a test site (for free) so others working on project can see a beta version without having to hit your local host?

Git and Subversion(SVN) are two populate free source control frameworks. To deploy to a test site you have the option of renting a virtual server. Amazon has free virtual machines if you maintain a low usage of the server.
