programatically navigate to a new content page in c#

I have a web site that uses master-content pages (1 master page, 2 content pages).  how can I navigate to the second content page from code behind in first content page?

One way is to do

Response.Redirect("pagename.aspx");

will that cause the master page to refresh?  or do I need to use frames?

Redirect will change the url of the current page including the masterpage if it has one since masterpage is only a template for layout.
