I have an Exchange Server 2007 running on Server 2008 Standard  sp2.

Version 08.01.0393.001  listed on Exchange Management Console About.

Sp1 rollup 9 is the latest update installed.

The question is.. Can I go directly to SP2 install

and the go directly to SP3 without any roll ups?

I am reading mixed messages on having to roll up prior to SP3 or not.

Thanks.

Rollup and Service Packs are cumulative which allows you to install the latest Rollup or Service Pack without having to install all of them. The only Rollups or Service Packs you need to be aware of are the interim updates. These need to be removed prior to installing additional RollUps and/or service packs.

You can go from SP1 directly to SP3 and then install the latest rollup for SP3.

See the below technet for additional details on "servicing".

The link below provides additional detail to installing RU and SP's.
