Excel replace formula?

I have several columns similar to this-
#C5*C8
#C6*C9
#C7*C10
(continues all the way to #C26*C28)

And it should be this (C5 is constant)-
#C5*C8
#C5*C9
#C5*C10
(continues all the way to #C5*C28)

I need a formula that I can apply and come up with the desired results. Thanks.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Assuming you have value in A1 and down..Then you can use this formula...

="#C5*"&RIGHT(A1,LEN(A1)-FIND("*",A1,1))
