user on Office365, unable to modify DL

Hello Team,

I have one user who moved from Exchange 2010 to Offiec365, now we noticed he unable to modify the DL (Universal distribution Group)

He is getting below error:

"changes to the public group membership cannot be saved you do not have sufficient permission to perform this operation"

Suggest the best solution to come out from this.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

so you mean say this is by design and cannot be resolved this way
Or it can be Resolved if we move the mailbox back to Exchange 2010 ?

As per the KB article if the mailbox is in O365, it is not possible to edit DL using outlook. You need to call O365 support Helpdesk.

Yes, if you move the mailbox back to E2K10 on-premise user can modify the DL.
But check the terms and conditions with MS for such roll back migrations from O365.

These migrated user who is owner of the distribution group can't manage it in Microsoft Exchange Online, if you want to manage the distribution group, the distribution group owners need to use on-premises tools for Exchange Server such as the following: EMC and EMS, and then we need directory synchronization or other tools to sync the changes to Office 365. you need to move all Distributed Group to office 365.
