Internet Explorer 11 not installating

Hi,

I have  Problems installing Internet Explorer 11 on one single Client.
In th IE11_main.log there is following error message:

Neutral package installation failed (exit code = 0x800b0100 (2148204800))

I downloaded an ran Update Readiness tool and found many missing files. A took the files from another Client and reran the Readiness Tool and most of the Errors went away.

At the Moment I still have following error:

I unpacked all packages of KB2957689 but there is no "Package_for_KB2957689~31bf....." There is only a Package with "rtm" in filename.

I also installed the KB2957689 but the IE11 Installation is still failing.

Does anybody know what I can do next?

Does anybody know that error?

Two people found a solution to a similar problem in this reference, but I do not know if it will apply to you.

Also on page 2 PA Bear offers the following comment
"There are two (2) major causes for IE upgrades to fail with an 9C59 error IMHO: "Leftovers" from preinstalled free-trial anti-virus/internet security applications and injudicious use of reigstry cleaners.

At this point, I'm afraid your best bet for getting IE11 installed would doing a  Repair Install (AKA In-place Upgrade) of Win7 - after which you'd have to install ALL security updates & IE11 prerequisite updates again..."

Here are instructions for a Repair Install.

It should not affect the installed programs or personal data, but a backup first is always a good idea.
Thank you.
I found a solution.

The missing package Package_for_KB2957689~31bf had the wrong Name after extraction.
I had to rename the file "update.mum" and "update.cab" to Package_for_KB2957689~31bf........... and while the next run of readiness tool, everything got fixed.

Aftewards the IE11 Installation worked as well.
