Ubuntu 14.04 - Dual Monitor Support

Hello,

I have a desktop PC running Ubuntu 14.04.  I am looking for a single graphics card that has dual DVI capabilities with a decent resolution.  This will not be used for gaming.  Any ideas for a card that is compatible with Ubuntu?

Thanks.

I'm not aware of any card (unless it is very, very old) that wouldn't work with Ubuntu or any modern Linux distro. So any current card will do.

It even has APP-SDK OpenCL and OpenGL 3.2
Worth mentioning it will be hard to find good bandwidth DVI cable nowadays, so full-hd is the limit.

gheist, Thanks for the info.  I went to the downloads page for VisionTek, selected the HD5000 series, and only Windows drivers are available.

You practically never need to download linux drivers, as they are usually already included with the OS and they work out of the box.

You go to AMD site, and download linux drivers
All Radeons are supported also by xorg natively, no drivers needed.
