I think I have a fairly basic markdown question...

For this following sentence
Serve it from the pan on a big board in the middle of the table so everyone can dig in to some nice food.

How can I use markdow to specifiy a url for the word "dig", like www.food.com, and then how can I also add some coloring to the word as well (red for example)

Markdown doesn't have colors for text, so I used strong emphasis.
Serve it from the pan on a big board in the middle of the table so everyone can [**dig**](http://www.food.com) in to some nice food.

thanks.

no color!?
Markdown is supposed to be simple, not a replacement for HTML.

You can read about Gruber's intention for it here:
