Two sites in view but want to delete the duplicate - SharePoint

When I log into SharePoint as Admin, I notice that there are two TeamSites.  When I click on either one, they go to the same document folder it seems.

I would like to remove the duplicate but I don't want to accidentally delete the actual TeamSite!!

Take a look at the image and let me know if its possible to safely remove the redundant display of two sites for both the Team Site and Public Site.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

from the screenshot it looks like you are on your own my site.
And when you remove the entry, it is just removing the link to it, not the site itself :-)
Therefore click on "Manage promoted sites", click on the element you want to remove and click on "Remove link".

Thats it.
