What to do about .local going Public with Exchange Server

I understand iCANN means to make the .local domain available as a public domain. Preemptively GoDaddy will be discontinuing any multi-domain SSL Certificates that include .local later this year, 2015.

What are folks doing that have .local internal domains and have an on premise exchange server? Buying the .local domain isnt an option as I doubt it will be available in my case.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
