"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

you should check the /var/nslog/newnslog  logfile.
this file is in binary format and you need "nsconmsg" to read id.
see this for usage:

you can view these files with nsconmsg also. See:

Q: Problems syncing a HA-Pair?
A: Check events in nsconmsg for failovers or nodes going down

# nsconmsg –K newnslog –d event | egrep –I 'node|init|failover|ha'
# nsconmsg –K newnslog –d stats –g ha_ | more

Also check http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX121734

or:
nsconmsg -K newnslog.ppe.0 -d stats -g pol_hits

Great articles!!! I guess I better start becoming more comfortable with the nsconmsg utility...

I am still confused as to the difference between the ns.log and newnslog... I know the ns.log is a standard flat file but why two separate files
