enter network password

I keep getting this pop up dialog box every morning asking to enter network password. It shows my email address which is my user name and my password. Whether I click save password or cancel or ok ,  or re enter my user name and password it does not matter it keeps on coming back. I  It keeps on coming back the next morning. Account settings (Advanced) are--my incoming server(pop3) 995, outgoing server(smtp) 465. server requires encrypted connection (SSL) box is checked. Type of encrypted connection(SSL). Delivery:box is checked for leave a message on the server. Remove from server after 100 days. Server time out 10 seconds (Short).Outgoing server tab: box is checked for my outgoing server requires authentication. Radio button filled in for use same setting as my incoming server. My incoming email server is (inbound.att.net). Outgoing mail server is(outbound.att.net). My ISPis charter.net. however ,My email is through att.net which I pay $19.95 a year to yahoo so that I can access my att.net email through outlook 2007. Can someone please tell me why all of the sudden I am getting this dialog box and what is the easiest solution to fix this problem .  Last thing, no new mail is received until I click yes save password in the dialog box and then click on send/receive within outlook 2007 in the tool bar.Thank you

Hi Basem,

I am not expert but my 1st guess is there is something wrong with your "profile".

I would create a new profile and test whether it still happens. Most likely it will not happen and you would need to transfer all emails to the new profile(either import pst or just attach pst and set as delivery location) :

To create new profile :

Go to control panel, open mail. Click on Profiles and add a new profile. Follow the setup wizard to complete adding it. When you are completed make sure the new profile is the selected profile( Check the dropdownlist ).

Good Luck

Thank you for your reply. I am afraid to mess things up as far as transferring my emails which I have tons of. Can you tell me how to the transfer and what happens if I just create a new profile and not do the transfer does that mean I would not be able to access all my emails stored on my computer and the ones that I have in outlook personal folders? what corrupted my profile so that I need to create a new one ?
Thank you

Have you tried contacting ATT/Yahoo. At times server addresses would change leading to similar issues. Alternately try to use without SSL and see if that resolves.

It is not that easy to contact those people. I looked under contact for yahoo they don't list any phone numbers for support and I verified email severs with att and it is correct as I stated in my question. What happens when you uncheck SSL?

Basem,

When creating a new profile the old one stays in tact 100% - no risk. It is purely a test. You will see in the "profiles drop down list" you can select to use new or old profile - The old will be named Outlook by default. If it works then we can discuss the moving of emails. It is real easy.

As for what corrupted the profile : I am not an expert and cannot answer that - we would need to start looking at event logs etc

ok thank you Leroy , I will go head and see if the new profile will solve the issue. If I do not get the enter network password dialog box in the am. Do I still have to move the emails?

Sometimes SSL wont create a clear tunnel leading to a repeat of the login credentials which works hence it will never ask for the credentials a third time and will always work the 2nd time. Also you can try using pop.att.yahoo.com and smtp.att.yahoo.com for POP and SMTP and see if that works. Also have you tried uninstalling your AV/Firewall software and see if issue persists? You can always reinstall it again.

Those were the old servers that I used to use. ATT websites shows to use the ones that I am currently using, though I am willing to give it a try. Thank you

Nobus I will try that fixit as well thank you

I tried this solution but I still got the pop up dialog box enter network password. do you think with this solution the incoming and outdoing server ports under advanced tab also need to be changed if so what are those values?
Thanks
