Send a link through lotus notes automated mail

Hi,

I am sending out automated emails via lotus notes. In the Subject i would like too attach a link, at the moment though its not sending as a link, can i add some tags toi make this happen?

My code is..

"Please find attached your Sales Manager Horis Reports for January 2015." & _
"If you have any questions around the content of this report, please contact your regional SPM team in the first instance. A guide to reading the Sales Dashboard can be found in the following link - http://teams.global.xyz/cmb/abc-Sales-Portal/PCM%20Docments/boris/boris%20Dashboard%20User%20Guide.pdf -   If you have received this email in error, please delete and contact the regional mailbox in order for you to be removed from future monthly automated mailings."

Thanks

Normally, mail clients convert texts that start with http:// or https:// to clickable links. As far as I know, you shouldn't have to do anything.

You cannot put ANY html in your body. Try to remove the entire A-tag with the link, and leave only the textual link.

You see, even the browser automatically converts it (maybe it has to be enabled through some option).

Ive removed the html tags

Its returning as text now but no link

if I forward the email afterwards it turns to a hyperlink

So the first mail received is not a hyperlink, but if I forward that mail, it becomes a hyperlink??!!

Any ideas?

No, not quite, I think... Most mail clients automatically convert text that looks like a link in a clickable link. Try to send a mail to your Gmail address or so, some external address, and have a look to see what it displays.

Yes, you send it external and it sends as a link - lotus notes is heartbreaking

To be honest, this time it isn't even Notes' doing: it's the other end that recognizes an HTTP link...
