Removing WSUS from SBS2011

Am trying to get rid of WSUS from an SBS2011 server. Ran the Server Cleanup Wizard, which took MANY hours, and the end result was a database error screen. Rerunning the cleanup wizard yields the same screen, but only after a few minutes.

Have moved all computers to Update Service Excluded Computers.

The WsusContent folder still has 17GB of stuff in it. The WSUS db is on a separate drive.

Can I just follow the procedure in https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd939818%28v=ws.10%29.aspx to be done with it, then delete the drive the WSUS db is on?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

To remove WSUS open Server Manager, go to Roles, select Remove Roles and uncheck Windows Server Update Services to remove WSUS.
