Microsoft Office 2013 Professional on Windows 2008 R2 Terminal Server

When I was installing Office 2010 Professional version of software on the Windows 2008 or 2008 R2 Terminal Servers, I had to buy Volume License version. The regular retail version of Office 2010 Pro. would not work.
I need to install Office 2013 Professional on a 2008 R2 Terminal Server. Should I buy VL version again?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Yes, for TS/RDS supported install of 2013 a volume license version is needed.

You need to use a Volume License of Office 2013 to install it on an RDS server (Remote Desktop Services, née Terminal Services)
