HP Proliant ML350 - random shutdown due to accelerator battery issue

Hi,
One of our production server seems to have the problem described here http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/Disk-Array/1794-Drive-Array-Array-Accelerator-Battery-Charge-Low/td-p/4240123#.VPQvYeG0DIU and also see attached screenshot.

I'm trying to get a new battery for same but in the meantime is it possible to disable this functionality in order to stop the server from shutting down?  I need to work around the issue as I may not have a replacement until the end of the week so any assistance greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I think it's possible to disconnect the battery-backed module (can't check momentarely), but it will grind your server down to a slow moving snail disk-wise ... Don't know if that's better for you ...

Server should not shut down due to accelerator battery being flat although it's possible the write response is so slow that it shuts down due to disk I/O performance problems.
