I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Looks like the regular versions of Oracle mention 32Bit for Linux.

As far as converting:  Sorry but I don't see how that is possible.
As far as older versions:  I don't think they are available for download any more.

Can you not use 64Bit Linux?

your machine will probably have a 64-bit processor (99% certain if it's not older than 3 years)
why not reinstall the linux as 64-bit ?

don't really see a point in still going the 32-bit direction

As long as you are licensed to run it or plan on removing it after 30 days, I think that is the correct one.

I would really look at getting a 64Bit Linux distro.

I get some java error like DISPLAY:0.0 and it fails.

I'm going from very old memory but DISPLAY:0.0 is an XWindows issue.  Never seen it from from Java but maybe things have changed since I was last on Unix.

Since you mention Java, did you look at the notes for the Linux download?
This download does not include the JDK. You can connect to and use any JDK 1.8 or above.

There is likely some sort of install log file that would probably have more information.

Also:  Installing SQL Developer should be a new question since this one was for installing Oracle itself.
