Need help disabling the default webpage on server 2008

We had an audit and on several of our servers the default website is enabled. How can I disable/turn off this site? I tried to disable the documents for the site and rename the default site and it didnt work. I attached a screen shot of what we need to turn off.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

IIS management, stop the default site.  Usually when it is stopped, it will not auto-start the next time.
Make sure you do not need it, you could delete default website.

The other option is to navigate to the site and delete the default.asp or default.htm or which erver page there is.
