how to set up remote access to a site with two subnets
Hello all, I have a site with an old server that we are retiring. We have a new server prepared and running Windows 2012 R2 and a new domain. We are not taking anything over from the old server. We are even changing subnets.
This server is out of town so what I want to do is to make sure that I can install the new server but keep the old server up and running.
OLDSVR IP: 192.168.1.102 (Windows 2003 server)
NEWSVR IP: 10.2.2.10 (Windows 2012 R2 server with new domain info)
The current router IP: 192.168.1.1 and is a Linksys WRT400N
Both servers have DHCP turned on so will have to figure that one out.
I need to be able to access both servers remotely. I already have ports open on the new server.
This is just short term. This is an accounting server and tax season is upon them so I don’t want to create a bunch of downtime, just do it slowly and do it remotely. The business is an hour away so would like to do the majority of work remotely.
Am I asking too much here? Can this be done?

Could you please explain from where you want to access the server remotely? is it from you inside network or outside?
Best Regards.
