file sharing

hello,
I am helping my cousin. He needs to share files for his company. He has locations in various states. For work I have setup file share servers, but I think that would become too much of a project since I would need, not only the server and license, but also a good firewall/router to allow the traffic from the various locations.
I'm sure there are file sharing "clouds" but I have no experience with them. In this case, I think they sound like a good solution. But, like I say, I don't have any experience with them, so I don't know which would be the most reliable, with excellent security.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
