"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Here's a starting point, save as a VBS file and run from a command line like:

cscript //nologo EE28628335.vbs

Const adVarChar = 200
Const adInteger = 3
Const adUseClient = 3

Dim rsSort
Set rsSort = CreateObject("ADODB.Recordset")
rsSort.CursorLocation = adUseClient

With rsSort.Fields
    .Append "Name", adVarChar, 255
    .Append "WorkingSet", adInteger
End With

rsSort.Open

Set objWMI = GetObject("winmgmts:{impersonationLevel=impersonate}!\\.\root\cimv2")
Set colProcesses = objWMI.ExecQuery("Select * from Win32_Process")

For Each objProcess in colProcesses
   With rsSort
      .AddNew
      .Fields("Name").Value =  objProcess.Name
      .Fields("WorkingSet").Value =  CLng(objProcess.WorkingSetSize)
   End With
Next

rsSort.Sort = "WorkingSet DESC"
rsSort.MoveFirst

Do While Not rsSort.EOF
    Wscript.Echo rsSort.Fields("WorkingSet").Value & ", " & rsSort.Fields("Name").Value
    rsSort.MoveNext
Loop

rsSort.Close
Set rsSort = Nothing

Open in new window
