PoE Switch Question

Hi,

For a PoE switch, to power a phone or camera, can I route things this way?

Router to PoE Switch > PoE switch to non-PoE Switch > non-PoE switch to phone or camera?

Or should it the swith be hooked up coming right from the Rj-45 jack (Jack > PoE Switch > Device)?

Thanks!

No, you can go Router to PoE Switch or non-PoE switch to a PoE Switch. Remember, the purpose of a PoE is to provide the power to the devices plugged into it.  So... the PoE switch would provide the needed power to your camera and or phone if these devices support it.
