im running server 2012 in hyper v role
I have a virtual dc sql and exchange server
I need to backup these servers
I was going to buy a 3TB usb drive and backup all servers to this
can this be done or do I need to attach separate drives to each virtual server
what is the easiest least expensive way to backup /restore these servers

Yes the bare metal back can be done on USB.
Best if you have USB 3.0 port in ur server.
