Internal DNS

Our external webserver is     I would like to setup internal DNS to point to the internal address. Internal the mail server is phx-exchange.domain.local  I can have the users https:// phx-exchange.domain.local/owa   but would rather have DNS internally do this for them.. As they are doctors and get confused very easily…

I am not sure where in DNS to do this and what type of record to create.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You need to create a internal AD-Integrated zone for From there you create your Host record ( pointing to your CAS server/s (or load balancer IP, if you are using one). From there you can then change your internal URL virtual directories to the same as what you external URLs are set to You can also do this for all other virtual directories other than OWA.
