uninstalling dell oma server manager 5.0
Hi,
been having problems accessing dell open manage server administrator so decided to download and install v6.5 but prior to the install it gave message that I either have to uninstall current version 5.0 or upgrade first to 5.5. If i could get the download for the 5.5 then probably this would work but its hard to find so was trying to uninstall 5.0 but it is not listed in add remove programs so i'm assuming it got corrupted along the way. Is there a way to uninstall it manually or would dell have some type of uninstall utility in these situations? The server is still running 2003. Thanks

what model server?

its a dell T420 running 2003 server still. The initial issue i encountered in trying to run the existing version 5 on the server is it gives error that internet explorer is not the default browser and so it wont come up at all. I installed firefox and made it default browser and still doesnt work which is why i thought i should just reinstall the program but the only one available for that model on dell site was the v6.5

Sorry you are correct I gave you the model of our 2008 server. The 2003 server is a Poweredge 800. Old I know. I will try the link you gave for 5.4.
ok...well 6.5 is the latest OMSA version for that server

thats the version i downloaded and attempted to install but the problem is that it wont let me upgrade unless i have 5.5 or above or i uninstall the current version on the server which is possibly lower than 5.4. Anyway i got a prerequisites error during the install saying there was a previous install in progress so i deleted the "in progress" subkey in the registry and it completed the install. Then when i brought up the app, it once again said that internet explorer was not the default so i made it the default and this time it worked. I had tried this before on the older version but didnt work so the version link you provided did the job. Thanks again. Was able to check the raid5 on the server and all disks ok.
