What are you trying to accomplish ?

For Windows 8, IE 11 comes and nothing less will install. So there is no size that I know of for Windows 8 / 8.1 machines.

For any 64-bit  machines, only IE 64-bit is installed. This includes both browsers (32-bit and 64-bit) so I am thinking your project has some limited value.

What have I missed ?
Also the sizes you quote above are for stubs. These are tiny programs that go find the full download and install it. IE8 for XP is 16 MB, IE9 for Windows 7 is 36 MB for 64-bit and IE10 for Windows 7 is 44 MB for 64-bit.  The Vista sizes are different and the 32-bit sizes (for 32 bit systems) are different again.

I run IE 11 on a Win 7 utimate PC.  iexplore.exe in Program Files (x86) is 796 KB.  In Program Files it is 794 KB. (The latter is the 64-bit version.)
The full answer to your question will come if people running IE9 and IE10 will respond.
But as has been asked, why do you ask?
This reference may be of interest.

i have a locked down domain...some users are bypassing the CCM... the security of each user prevents vbs or reg lookups during startup scripts..
im using s simple DIR pathFilenameForIE.exe> \\servername\%username%-IE.txt
ive created a vb app to read the .txt files to collect the info for sql lookups… there are possibly over  18k computers and don’t want to run an inventory..
Windows 7 is the Corp Image and windows 8 won’t come for years…
thanks
Unless users downloaded IE, it is unlikely to be stored anywhere, even the stub programs. The install/uninstall mechanisms are in WinSXS and not in the user folder.

Updates come once a month and affect IE all the time. The IE, Help About, shows a half dozen changed versions in the last six months.

So short of doing an actual inventory, I am not sure you can do what you want.

Windows 7 is the Corp Image and windows 8 won’t come for years  <--- Windows 7 is now essentially dead. Security Updates only. Windows 8.1 will be dead in "years".  Windows 8 is already gone. I am planning to replace both my machines with Windows 10 machines before this year is out.

thanks... Not sure if changes actually modified the exe all the time....or if there were common knowledge locations to pick up exe sizes...
I was even hoping there was a file on the system that contained the version…
Looks like I will need to rethink the plan…
The install exe's are not maintained anywhere I know of because of all the updates. There is no common location to store the downloads over time. Temporary downloads get deleted.

Looks like I will need to rethink the plan…  <-- I think so. Make the plans around what your needs are and be sure what you have works on the most recent browser.
