Server 2012r2 will not boot

I have a 2012r2 server running hypervisor ontop of the os. Yesterday, after rebooting, it installed some updates and booted into the recovery console.
Safe mode same thing
Dism with restorehealth found and fixed errors
Sfc found and fixed errors but reboot, same thing
Used bcdedit to fix boot and mbr and used the installation disk from the boot directory to fix the directory boot record. Same thing.
Chkdsk finds no problems.
I am at my wits end. Can someone help? Thanks.

This is going to sound unusual, but it saved me a few times.

-Create a Bootable Windows 7 Pro or Enterprise DVD/USB
-Boot off it
-Run the startup repair.
-Eject media
-Boot server

For some reason this doesn't work from 2008/2012/win8 DVD, only Win7.
Where possible always take a snapshot or image of server. But I never had an issue running the repair from the Windows 7 Media for 2008/2012 server

Thanks for clarifying JP TechGroup. I'll check the Win 7 repair trick again on an old corrupted VM Image which I restored this way. Wondering now if I mixed up the 2012 OS with 2008 R2 perhaps. Good to see you got things up and running again of course.
