Thumbnail images not appearing for one user in Outlook 2010

Hi,

I have a slight issue that i'm not having any luck with, basically I have uploaded staff images into our GAL, but for one user, the image appears in the GAL, but when you receive an email from or send an email to the user, the image doesn't display in the footer of the email.

I have checked the image dimensions and size according to Microsoft recommendations and they are correct, I have removed and uploaded the image again but still no luck.  Can anyone else shed any light on this.

Hi,

If you have configured Outlook in cached mode, please try removing cached mode and restarting Outlook. This will help to identify if it is a problem with Offline Address Book.

You could try removing the picture from AD and wait for couple of hours and see if it has been removed and then add it back.

Also, please check if user has created a contact locally in the Outlook and uploaded a different picture. If so, please remove locally created contact from Outlook.

Another option is to check if Outlook is configured to not to display photos. Please check in Outlook -> Options -> People -> Online Status and Photographs.

Enable the checkbox to show photos

Hi SreRaj,

Thanks for your help, its so happens that the company has told all their users to add contacts in for certain staff into their local Outlook contacts and therefore causing this issue.  I have removed them now and seems to be working well.
