Can I use the Apple Airport Extreme as a Wireless Access point

I am needing to connect MacBooks, iPads, and Apple TVs together wirelessly.  This in on an existing corporate network (Windows 2008 Domain - if that matters), that has a dedicated Router/Firewall (SonicWall) between the network and the Internet.  I do not need the routing functionality of the Airport Extreme.  this will be providing wireless to one wing of the facility where Apple devices are prevalent.

I presently have two Netgear Wireless Access Points servicing this hall, and they cannot keep up with the streaming video/audio.

Thus my question.  I do not want a different IP network on this hall, I just need the wireless part of this device.

Is that a documented configuration?  I have never used an Apple wireless device, so please excuse the ignorance.
