How To Backup the Backup Exec 2014 Core Components

I've finally got BE2014 SP2 installed, configured, and running like a top. What BE files, folders, etc. do I need to backup in order to recover from the media server crashing?

Currently I'm running Win 2008 Storage Server. If the server were to crash, I'd replace it with 2008 R2 or 2012 R2, attach the robotic tape library, and install BE 2014, SP2, and the hotfixes I need. What then? I'm assuming there's a method to recover the SQL Express database and other files that Symantec uses to configure and control the jobs, the list of servers, the login names and passwords used to access the other servers, etc.

Can this be done without purchasing the IDR agent?

If this is in the admin guide or on Symantec's web site, I just plain missed it.

I'm pretty sure all you need to do is create your Simplified Disaster Recovery Disk(s). Follow the wizard.

Here's a step by step from Symantec:

I had looked at SDR but was under the impression that I would have to perform the restore to a server where the Windows OS and hardware configuration matched the current media server. I very well could be mistaken in this. Let me review this article again. Thanks.
