"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Have you tried removing and re-adding the Exchange account on the iPhone?

Are you also on the latest iOS 8.x version?

Yes to both, after adding the account it seems to work for a short while, then starts failing again, especially when "mail days to sync" is anything over 1 week

Try removing the email account and then adding it back, with cellular data turned off, and WiFi on instead, for a fresh entry of the email account ('Mail, Contacts & Calendars' in iOS 8 Settings app).  Also, some MS Exchange servers are set up where the provider has policies to limit the number of devices, and require those with new phones to remove old ones (form in settings via OWA webmail) to be under that limit before adding a new device.

Let us know how that goes if you see any improvements.

I am experimenting with 1 phone, it's been 24 hours and no problems yet. Possibly removing the old devices made the difference. Thank you

Curley, did you resolve your issue with the Exchange email since iOS8?

Kyle,

After my initial post, deleting and reentering the email account worked, but only for a few hours, then it went back to the same behavior. It wasn't until the last IOS update, maybe one prior that the fix held. Just about every IOS device needs to be reconfigured though.

Thanks
