can a vmview pool have NON-Domain joined workstations?

I have created many pools in vmview that contains virtual workstations.
when finishing creating a pool, you always have to pick a domain to connect to.
is there any way to create a pool without connecting it to a domain?

(any help appreciated)

According to this like being domain joined is not a hard requirement....

I am not sure if I have just created a strawman and then burned it down on my own.
I was given the task to create a non domain joined vm and everytime I created a pool in the connection server, I had to join pool to a domain. but the pool and the vm's are 2 different things. so as I said, the pool must be connected to a domain, the computers you add to the pool can be domain joined or non-domain workstations.
