can a vmview pool have NON-Domain joined workstations?

I have created many pools in vmview that contains virtual workstations.
when finishing creating a pool, you always have to pick a domain to connect to.
is there any way to create a pool without connecting it to a domain?

(any help appreciated)

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. According to this like being domain joined is not a hard requirement....

thanks comdigit44,
yes I read that also but it really doesn't shed any light on what to do, just that it can be done.
as I have been creating more and more pools, I have come to the realization (I think) that though the "pool" is part of the domain, the computer vm's do not have to be part of a domain.
I created a non-domain workstation on vsphere. then I made a snapshot of that vm. then went to vmview connection server and created a pool. the last thing it asks is what domain do you want to connect to. (and you have to pick a domain or you can't click "finish".
so the pool is in domain, but the workstations connected to that pool are not on the domain.
I am just going to close this question as I think I have answered my own question.
but comdigit44, thank you for taking the time to help.

I am not sure if I have just created a strawman and then burned it down on my own.
I was given the task to create a non domain joined vm and everytime I created a pool in the connection server, I had to join pool to a domain. but the pool and the vm's are 2 different things. so as I said, the pool must be connected to a domain, the computers you add to the pool can be domain joined or non-domain workstations.
