How to access iCloud Drive from iPhone & iPad

We have iCloud Drive setup in our windows 8 PC and can access it with no problem.  In iCloud Drive we see the folders of Numbers, Page, etc (the Apple apps) but if we save any other files, like PDF files, in the iCloud Drive, we can't seem to access it from iPhone or iPad (like an explorer).  Can anybody orientate us?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Are you devices update with the latest iOS8?  This is the most common requirement.  Otherwise, check this out to see if iCloud Drives FAQ area helps or not.

Let me know.

You're not going to believe this but Apple DO NOT provide a file explorer app for iOS8 to access iCloud Drive.
They assume that you really just want to use it with iPhoto, Pages, Numbers and Keynote.

Even though you can put ANY file into your iCloud account (same as Google Drive or Dropbox or others) , Apple haven't bothered giving you a free app to see these files.

All is not lost however, you can install Apps by other developers who want you to be able to USE your iOS device properly.

Try any of the following
Cloud Opener (FREE)
Document 5 (FREE) -
Good Reader (4.99) -

I personally use Good Reader as it's a great app for opening PDF and other files on iOS and worth a few $$ for the developers great efforts.
