Need advice on ITIL v3 Certification

I have the need to either become ITIL v3 certified or at least get up to speed in a hurry for a new client that is a data center/Manager Service Provider.

Can you give me advice on what websites and/or books might help me accomplish this?

Hello.

The book I used:
http://www.amazon.com/Itil%C2%AE-Foundation-Complete-Certification-Kit/dp/1743331363/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1425779883&sr=8-1&keywords=ITIL+V3+Foundation+Complete+Certification+Kit

Take a serious look to this site:

Some other links you will find usefull:

1) http://www.freeitiltraining.com/

2) Simplilearn ITIL 2011 Foundation Training offers discount coupons from time to time, you may try the coupon code SPRING50 to get 50% off on ITIL v3 Foundation Exam course before 7 March 2015

Finally, sugest to full read this answer of Ian Mitchell (https://www.linkedin.com/groups?viewMemberFeed=&gid=51930&memberID=58338295) on LinkedIn. He gives many ideas and resources:

Just the first part of that page:

"You can self study but I would recommend a mixture of self study (and tak an online exam with Lloyalist $159 http://www.loyalistexams.com/ ) and at least an online course. Face 2 face course is better but expensive.

I am using itil training zone, their online training is excellent. Good written support material as well with tutor support if required.

You can get a feel for there training by looking at this:

http://www.freeitiltraining.com/

It is free to register, no catchs and you will be offered a discount on training.

Their site is:

http://www.itiltrainingzone.com/

Gogo training also offer a good online platform, again you can get a feel for their material and ITIL overview's for a simple free registration at:

http://gogotraining.com/

If in the States take a look at: http://www.itsmsolutions.com/

In the UK for face to face training there are many good companies but I would recommend:

http://www.sysop.co.uk/http://www.purplegriffon.com/http://www.foxit.net/

However you can find a list of accredited trainers at:

http://www.itil-officialsite.com/TrainingOrganisations/ATOListing.aspx

To support your self study here is a link which will provide alott of material as well:

http://www.linkedin.com/groups/New-ITIL-here-are-few-51930.S.118140764?qid=04c51fc9-25d2-4405-b428-12b343eb86d5&trk=group_most_popular-0-b-ttl&goback=%2Egmp_51930

and try to apply the conceps you are learning within your work enviorment."

Hope you can find some of this information usefull.
